I don't think it takes much to be a bricklayer in Naryan-mar. Most of the bricklayers during the war were women, but I'm sure they could have done better than this.

Just came across your blog. I think it is a big stretch to think that this building was built during the war. As you probably noticed all the old buildings are out of wood.
